Three DynaRig masts, no winches, no lines on deck.
Our smallest imprint and our most involved. OceanMuse takes on nine owners a year who are commissioning artwork and a vessel at the same time — where the hull can still be changed to suit the art, not the other way round.

An OceanMuse commission runs eighteen to thirty months and involves the owner, a shipyard, an interior designer, a naval architect and at least one living artist, all working from the same drawing set. Our Director of Collections is in the yard meetings and in the studio. There is no version of that which scales.

The owner had already bought the painting — a 3.1-metre canvas that no existing vessel in her budget could hang. So the naval architect started from the frame: main-deck beam widened by 400 millimetres, one bulkhead moved aft, and the whole superstructure re-balanced around a wall.

Halina Rey spent nineteen days aboard during the delivery passage from Livorno to Palma, working on deck. Aurora is the third of four canvases from that voyage; the salt in the ground layer is from the passage itself.

A 41-square-metre atrium wall with a retractable UV-filtered skylight above it. Light levels are held under 150 lux by an automated louvre system that reads the sun's position and the vessel's heading.
Each of these was drawn, refitted or specified with a named body of work already agreed. They come to market rarely.

Membership is annual and covers the advisory relationship only — vessels, artworks and commissions are invoiced at their own prices.
For owners with a vessel and a growing collection.
For owners commissioning artwork and vessel together.
For collections crossing generations and jurisdictions.
Write to us anyway. Two of this year's nine placements came from cold enquiries — what matters is whether the commission is right, not who introduced you.
“We moved a bulkhead for a painting. Every naval architect I spoke to said it was madness until Elite ArtVoyage put the drawing in front of them, and then it was simply an engineering job.”

Still unresolved? Our specialists answer directly — usually within a working day.
Either a referral from an existing client or artist, or a direct enquiry describing the commission. We take a call with everyone who writes; we can only take on nine.
Around €4M of combined artwork and commissioning spend, excluding the vessel. Below that, Yacht & Canvas achieves substantially the same outcome for far less overhead.
Four of our represented studios have done it. It requires the owner's consent, a working space that can take solvents, and an insurance endorsement — all of which we arrange.
New commissions are currently opening for the third quarter of 2027. Occasionally a placement is released earlier when a build slot moves; membership holders are told first.

The earlier in a build we are involved, the more the vessel can do for the collection. After the joinery is ordered, most of the interesting options are gone.
One letter a month: fresh central listings, artist releases, and the private viewings we do not advertise. No forwarding, no third parties.
